There are 4 main reasons why I choose to make Soy wax to make my candles:
1. Soy wax is natural! It’s made from soybeans - a natural, renewable, biodegradable and sustainable resource!
2. Soy candles burns cleaner than paraffin candles (the cheaper and what most candles are mostly made of). Have you seen a paraffin candle burn? You can occasionally see black smoke coming off the flame and that’s bad news. It’s actually black soot being released into the air which blackens the jar and can also stains your walls and other surfaces over time. Paraffin is actually made from petroleum which contains carcinogenic substances (benzene and toluene being the main culprits) – you don’t want to be breathing THAT in. Soy candles are non-toxic, so they won't release any nasties into the air as they burn.
3. Soy candles burn slower and last longer so you get more bang for buck!
4. Soy wax is easier to clean! If you’re a clutz like me, then you’ll appreciate this. If you spill soy wax or if you want to re-use your soy candle jar, then all you need is hot soapy water with some gentle scrubbing and you’re done!

Each candle I make is hand-poured and I only use 100% EcoSoya soy wax. The only other two things I may use (by request) is high quality dyes and premium fragrance oils (Phthalate free) which are designed and tested for use with soy candles. I also use zinc and lead free cotton wicks.
Please note, as each candle is hand-poured using natural soy wax, it will not always have a perfect finish. This will not affect the burning of the candle in any way. It’s all part of the charm of having a hand poured candle where each one will be unique :)
Just some other things you should know when it comes to Soy Candles.
• Not all soy candles advertised as 100% soy wax are actually that. Some candle makers will blend soy with paraffin or other chemical additives to get a smoother looking candle

• Think ‘triple scented’ is better? Wrong! It’s just a gimmick. Soy candles can only hold up to 12% fragrance MAX! If you add more than that, you’ll end up with an oily sludge of a candle that won’t burn properly.
Once last thing! Feedback is REALLY important to me. I have done and still do A LOT of testing to make sure I’m making the best soy candles possible. Please feel free to call or email me if you encountered any problems or if you have general feedback around your experience with using my candles.
